In case you didn't know already, most advertising you see on the web is based on one of two things (1) information the advertising server can get about you [from cookies, profile information, etc]; or (2) the content on the page you are viewing.
Was reading this Reuters article about George W's memoirs and got an ad telling me to drink responsibly. Seems about right.
