Here are just a few portraits created by Erika Iris Simmons (aka iri5) using nothing but cassette tape ribbon. I love stuff like this in general, but this is particularly great. You can check out more of the Ghost in the Machine on her Flickr page, and it also looks like she's accepting all kinds of donations (tapes, lace & a butterfly net) on her site.

I think my favorite is the Kurt Cobain portrait, but was so happy when I saw Ian Brown in there. Love those Stone Roses.

Who knew Hamsters were such great pitchmen? Apparently David&Goliath did (Kia's Agency of Record). They are winning all types of awards for this and deservedly so.

I'm getting the itch to travel overseas again. I've arranged for a homebase in Spain, so if I get to go, Cinque Terre is among the top places I want to visit.

Although, I suppose it could be a missile. Or photoshopped. Still cool though.

So I was on the old StumbleUpon earlier, and came across this article about the opening of Knight and Day in Seville, Spain (a city which I visited earlier this year and loved - awesome place). Anyway, it struck me that Tom Cruise was looking very tall next to his wife (or at least equally tall). I remember seeing her tower over him... then I saw his shoes.

Either he just experienced a tremendous growth spurt and simultaneous horrific case of claw foot, or he's wearing some cleverly disguised heels. Nicely played Cruise.

Staying with the shark theme. This is an old one, but still hilarious.
